Welcome to Our Media Center

The Media Center is the best place to begin your search for information as well as your favorite books. It has a technology rich environment where students no longer just check out books but provides the opportunity for students to locate, select, organize, evaluate and present ideas to communicate their learning.  

    A new instructional tool has been added to the our media center. It is called a Promethean whiteboard. A Promethean Interactive  whiteboard is a great way to engage all learners.Using images, video , and sound students are drawn to the board.Students who were once reluctant to participate now are excited to engage in the lessons introduced. They are preparing for the 21st Century skills necessary for their future in today’s world.

    This school year is moving rather quickly and I am so pleased with the students who come daily to exchange their library books.
    The Six Flags Reading Club has been completed. Students were challenged to read for entertainment and information for six hours (360 minutes). Once the Six Flags Amusement Park opens, the students will be able to offer their ticket to gain admittance to the park.

April was National Poetry Month. What is your favorite poem? Fourth graders are presently researching their favorite subjects so that they will be able to create several non-fction poems.
